About the School
St Peter's Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic school in Halifax offering a small, close-knit community environment for children from Prep to Year 6.
Opened by the Sisters of Mercy in 1927 originally as St Theresa's Convent School, the school was renamed St Peter's Catholic School in 1969 after the patron saint of the Parish of Halifax.
St Peter's Catholic School is an integral part of the Halifax community, with the traditions and histories of local families intertwined with St Peter's for generations.
The small Halifax community and St Peter's School have the same complementary ideals and environment for children – both acknowledge and welcome every child as part of the family.
St Peter's Catholic School provides a friendly, welcoming and professional learning environment for all children, underpinned by the motto, “Together We Grow”.
